Carr Frederick Koed Paul Carlson Leland H.Jenkins Others Present: Jennifer Brennan Oram, Selectmen's Clerk Chairman Karen Quigley called the meeting to order at 7:OOPM. Chairman Quigley stated that the Board would be interviewing three candidates for the position of Interim Town Manager. Each candidate will be given forty-five minutes. At the end of the evening, the Board will discuss and appoint the Interim Town Manager. First candidate, Mr. Richard V. Robinson—Mr. Robinson introduced himself to the Board and reviewed his background which included work as a City Manager in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Lakewood, Colorado and Rockville, Maryland. He also worked as the Assistant Finance Director in Cleveland, Ohio and as the Finance Director in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Mr. Robinson also worked as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Newton. Most recently, Mr. Robison has since been working on a consulting basis for cities over seas in countries such as Kabul, Afghanistan and Jordan. Mr. Robinson stated that if chosen for this position, it would be his first time acting as an Interim Town Manager. Mr. Robinson then answered a series of questions from the Board. Second candidate, Mr.Jeff Ritter. —Mr. Ritter introduced himself to the Board and reviewed his background which included working as an Interim Town Administrator in Ayer, Bridgewater and Groton. Mr. Ritter also worked at an Executive Secretary in Wayland, MA a Town Administrator in the Town of Blackstone, MA, an Administrative Assistant in the Town of Hatfield, MA, among others. He also worked in the private sector. Mr. Ritter then answered a series of questions from the Board. Third candidate, Mr. Stephen J. Lombard - Mr. Lombard introduced himself to the Board and reviewed his background for the Board. Mr. Lombard reviewed his background which included post retirement work as an Interim Assistant Town Administrator in Harwich, an Interim Town Manager in Norton, MA an Interim Town Coordinator for the Town of Hopedale, and as the Interim Town Manager in Middleboro. Mr. Lombard also served two terms as a Selectman in his hometown of Mattapoisett, MA. Prior to his retirement in 2002, Mr. Lombard served as Town Administrator in Dennis, MA, the Town Manager of Norton, MA the Executive Secretary in Norton, MA and the Business Manager/Purchasing Agent for the Town of Wareham, MA. Mr. Lombard then answered a series of questions from the Board. After the Board deliberated,Selectman Carr moved to offer Mr. Stephen Lombard the position of Interim Town Manager. Selectman Jenkins seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous (5-0). Tapes of the full interviews with all three candidates, a as well as the deliberations are all on file in the Board of Selectmen's Office. Selectman Carr moved to adjourn the meeting. Selectman Carlson seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous(5-0). Meeting adjourned at 913M.
