Application on how to spend this money is due January 22, 2016. The plan is to improve lighting at the Middle/High School, Osgood, Deer Hill, DPW Facility and the Teen Center; to install a variable speed drive at the police station and to install destratification fans at the High School Gym. Palmer Capital Old Landfill PV Array Development The town needs to merge the three parcels of land at the landfill site. Old Landfill Closure Permit Status Closure permit was not on the January 7 Conservation Commission agenda. The next two meetings are on January 21 and February 11. Eric Seuss agreed to check when this will be heard at the Con. Com. Energy Conservation Measure Implementation ECM's complete at Schools (BTU's) and the Library (lighting) Streetlight Procurement and Conversion National Grid still has not completed the reconciliation (street light number and cost credit for overbilling) or provided the Town with a price. Chris Senior sent the notice and demand letters on the Streetlight reconciliation and purchase to National Grid. No response at this date. LED retrofit will be pushed to 2017 so the town can apply for an additional $250,000 in Green Community Grants this fall. New Business As a Green Community, the town must document energy use and appoint someone to learn the system. 90% of information is automatically updated and 10%, the gas/diesel delivery, is manually updated. Patricia Gooding is the only one who has learned the system and recently requested a meeting with Ron Menard (CIO) and she awaits his response. The board agreed an employee of the town should be responsible and accountable for the system input as it is required to keep our energy use documented. AEC will request Chris Senior to attend next meeting to discuss process. Next Meeting Monday, February 22, 2016
