7:05 PM meeting called to order by Rob Jeffers.
After review of the May meeting minutes, a few small changes were
agreed upon, a motion to approve made by Clark Brewer, and seconded by Paul
Kierce. Vote was unanimous.
Beth Tarpey was approved by the selectmen as the Elder's Affairs
Representative and was welcomed by the committee.
The committee discussed the May 22nd selectmen meeting. Based on the
meeting the committee agreed to follow up on two potential projects —808
Jerusalem Road and Expansion of Avalon. The goal would be to gather more
information and discuss at the following Affordable Housing Steering Committee
to decide whether we should present the ideas to the selectmen.
Multiple committee members attended the Disaster workshop and gave
updates. Overall those in attendance thought it was a positive experience, but
there were no immediate action items for our committee.
Paul Kierce gave an update on the Trettis House and the work he has
been doing to inquire about potential funding. We agreed he should continue
his inquiries and to let other members know if assistance is needed.
Based on some of the previous topics the group discussed the need to
activate the Affordable Housing Trust. Specifically, many grants or agencies
require that funds are deposited into an Affordable Housing Trust. The
committee discussed some of the requirements of a Trust structure. We agreed
we should bring this topic up to the selectmen the next time we meet with them.
Next meeting is July 101" , place TBD. Paul motioned at 8:45 PM to
adjourn, seconded by Peter and vote was unanimous.
