Denison Press, Inc. 1969 Town Reports $17.00 per page Warrants for 1970 25.00 per page There was a Jury Drawing for Traverse Civil & Criminal, returnable February 2, 1970. The name drawn was James P. Devlin, 16 Rustic Drive. A hearing was held on the application of Esso Gasoling Service Station, 164 Beechwood Street, corner of Route 3A and Beechwood Street for increased under- ground storage of gasoline. Voted: To take this application under advisement. Voted: To appoint Janine Dusossoit, 51 Jerusalem Road Drive, Cohasset our Good Will Ambassador to Port Elizabeth, Cape So. Africa. Voted: To sign the gasoline contract with Gulf Oil Company. Voted: To request the Brockton Edison to make a survey of street lighting on Ledgewood Drive. Voted: To authorize Alfred G. Peterson & Sons, Inc. to make two new awnings for the Town Hall. Voted: To accept the resignation of Robert Cleaves, Jr. as Associate Member of the Board of Appeals with. regret. Voted: To order a street sign for Hillside Drive. January 22, 1970 Permission was granted to the Bostongas Company to install a gas supply for Hagerty Co. - 355 Atlantic Avenue, Cohasset. J� REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN HELD ON JANUARY 28, 1970 All Present Voted: To approve the minutes of January 21, 1970 as submitted and Interim Action of January 22, 1970. Voted: That the position of bond counsel and any individual or firm employed as bond counsel to the town or to any municipal agency thereof or thereunder be hereby classified as a special municipal employee pursuant to Chapter 268A of the General Laws, to the extent that they are "municipal employees" under said law. Employment as bond counsel shall for the purpose hereof include the rendering of advice, the drafting of documents, the rendering of an opinion approving the legality of bonds or notes issued by the town and the provision of other legal services with respect to financing and the authorization and issuance of indebtedness. Voted: To forward the letter of Ambrose Cray re: parking on Highland Avenue, adjacent to his home to Chief Feola for his recommendations. Voted: To approve a commercial clam digging permit for John White, subject to the approval of the Shellfish Constable. Voted: To advertise for bids on the Dutch Elm Disease for the Tree Department. Voted: To sign the Incorporation Papers for Leslie R. Reed and others under the name of Metropolitan Boston Road Contractors Association, Inc. Voted: To sign the Incorporation Papers for David E. Place, William C. Cox, Jessie B. Cox and others under the name of Cox Foundation, Inc. Voted: To authorize the Brockton Edison Company to install 1,000 lumen street lights on Poles #2, 4, 5, 8 and 12 Ledgewood Drive, in accordance with their recom- mendations. Voted: To hold a hearing on the application of Anthony C. Sestito, 184 South Main Street for underground storage of 1,000 gallons gasoline for private use only. Hearing to be held on March 4, 1970 at 10:00 A.M. Voted: To grant permission to the Student Social Action Committee of Cohasset High School for the use of the Town Hall auditorium for a dance on February 27, 1970 from 7:30 to 11:30 P.M. , subject to the identification of a responsible adult and the names of chaperones. Voted: To reappoint Nathan W. Bates to the Metropolitan Area Planning Council for three years. Voted: To charge a fee of $15.00 for the use of the Police Ambulance. Voted: To sign the Warrant for the 1970 Annual Town Meeting. Voted: To refer the letter of Charles C. Ford re: warning signs on Jerusalem Road to Police Chief Feola for his recommendations. There was a Jury Drawing for Civil & Criminal, returnable April 6, 1970. The Name drawn was Donald W. Smith, 9 Woodland Drive. Voted: To write to Mrs. Raymond allowing hbr admittance to the Annual Town Meeting on March 7th as reporter for the Herald-Traveler. There was a hearing on the application of Anthony & Judith Sestito for underground storage of 1,000 gallons of gasoline at 185 South Main Street, for private use only. There were no objectors.
