There was a dog hearing on the complaint of Mrs. John Mello, against the dog owned by Joseph F. Kehoe, 28 Bayberry Lane. Voted: To take the above matter under advisement. Voted: To grant permission to the Cohasset Community Center to use the Town Hall auditorium on January 7th for a High School dance and on January 28th for a Variety Show, Voted: To refer Dr. Moriarty' s request for a street light at the corner of Jerusalem Lane at Jerusalem Road, near the junction of Atlantic Avenue to Chief Pelletier for his recommendations, and the Brockton Edison Company in accordance with Chief Pelletier' s recommendations. Voted: To grant permission to the Blue Hill Girl Scout Council Inc. for the use of the Town Hall for rain dates during two weeks summer Day Camp at 'Wheelwright Park from June 27 through June 30, 1966 and July 5 through July 8, 1966. Voted: To grant a building permit to James P. McGee, 27 Hill Street to enlarge kitchen and add a bedroom above. Voted: To appoint the Town Clerk as administrator for the Street Listing for 1966. Voted: To order Mr. James F. Kehoe to keep his dog under restraint at all times. Voted: To write to Mr. Hannon, Division of Waterways and advise him that the Town of Cohasset is prepared to make its contribution of $48,500. toward the local cost of expansion of navigation facilities in Cohasset Harbor. Voted: To insert an Article in the Warrant calling for a drainage survey. Voted: To grant a building permit to J. A. Kealy Realty Trust, 100 Howe Road, Cohasset for a new residence on Lot #14 Forest Avenue . Voted: To grant permission to the Boston Gas Company to install a gas supply for Joseph C. Fahey, 32 Linden Drive. Voted: To grant a building permit to Wayne H. Robbins, Main Street, Norwell, Massachusetts to raise roof over present doors, install two new doors - add toilet room in present building at 409 North Main Street, Cohasset, with the proviso that the vote in no way affects any question of abandonment of non-conforming use. Voted: To grant permission to the planning Board for the use of the Town Hall auditorium on February 11} , 1966 at 8 :00 P.M. for a public hearing on zoning. January 14, 1966 A building permit was granted to Robert C. Jordan, 110 Atlantic Avenue for an addition to room between house and garage at 108 Atlantic Avenue. Voted : To approve the Brockton Edison Company petition for one (1 ) present joint pole location to be relocated on Lamberts Lane from Hull Street, easterly. Voted: To sign a release to the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company in the amount of $80.00 for damage to town property. Voted: To hold in abeyance the request of Richard A. Wilson to purchase land from the town adjoining his property at 55 Norfolk Road. Voted: To file an estimate of temporary increased population in Cohasset with the A. B. C. Commission at 6809. Voted: To set up a hearing on the petition of the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company to lay and. maintain underground conduits on Chief Justice Cushing Way, extending easterly and to erect seven (7) poles on Chief Justice Cushing Way from Hingham Town line, extending easterly. Hearing to be held on February 16, 1966 at 10:00 A.M. Voted: To authorize George W. McLaughlin to sign the Application for Permit for the Cohasset Sportsmen' s Association to construct a driveway 30 feet wide at its Lodge building on Route 3A. Voted: To approve the request of the American Legion Auxiliary to conduct a Poppy Drive on May 13 and 14, 1966. Voted: To place the responsibility of carrying out the program of opening Cat Dam to alleviate the algae to the Conservation Commission. Bids were opened on the Fuel Oil for all departments. Bids were as follows: Granite City Coal & Oil Co. , Inc. .119 per gallon Quincy Oil, Inc. .122 Voted: To take these bids under advisement. Voted: To approve the Sunday Entertainment License for organ music at Hugo' s Lighthouse for an additional 39 weeks to carry through to the end of the year, subject to the approval of the Department of Public Safety. Voted: To proclaim the month of May as 'Clean Up and Keep Cohasset Clean and Beautiful% Voted: To grant permission to the Cohasset Athletic Association to hold its Annual Para4e on Saturday, April 30th, commencing at 1:30 in the afternoon, starting at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library and continuing to the Harold Barnes Baseball Field. Voted: That the Board Members participate in the above parade, and that Mr. Hurwitz throw out the first ball to start off the opening of the baseball season. Voted: To grant a building permit to Kathryn B. Stanbro, 322 Jerusalem Road for an attached two car garage. Bids were opened on the Mowing, Raking and Trimming of small parks. Voted: To authorize Howard Bates to remove the following trees : an elm tree on Jerusalem Road, near the residence of Albert Sylvester, one maple tree near the entrance to Wheelwright Park on North Main Street, and an Oak tree on Wood Way in front of the residence of H. Voted: To acoept the new Blue Cross-Blue Shield plan for town employees and optional Ifedi Care extension plan for all over 65 years of age. Voted: To approvethe military leave of absence for William N. McKenna from the Cohasset Police Department, effective August 5, 1966. Voted: To authorize the Town Treasurer to forward to the Department of Public Works, Division of Waterways the sum of $489500.00 under Article 15 of the 1965 Town Warrant. Voted: To grant the renewal of an Auctioneer' s License to William K. Bean and A. Fred Petersen. Voted: To grant a building permit to The Cushing Trust, Claude L. Grayken re : possible violation of the Cohasset Zoning By-Laws at the gasoline filling station, 405 North Main Street. Mr. Turner submitted several cancelled checks to the Brockton Edison Company in payment for electricity used for the past three ,years and for gasoline purchases and sales tax during that period. A copy of Certificate of Registration was presented of continuation of gasoline permit and an Affidavit of Frederick '?. Conway stating that the station has never been abandoned, but due to poor health, the gas station has not been operated at full capacity.
