Voted: To sign the incorporation papers for Helen Barrow and others
under the name of Suburban Democratic Women, Inc.
Voted: To accept the resignation of James T. Kane as temporary
provisional patrolman from the Cohasset Police Department,
effective January 1, 1968.
Voted: To grant a building permit to D. J Buckley, 520 Jerusalem
Road for a new residence with garage on Lot #62 Old Coach

January 5, 1968
The Board met with Mr. Clifford Dickson, Shellfish Constable.
It was approved that in the future all clam permits be issued
by him. At his suggestion Commercial Permits will be issued
at t20.00 each. The Shellfish Constable is taking on the
project of seeding clams.
January 8, 1968
A building permit was granted to Dr. Robert T. Sceery, 95
Atlantic Avenue to enclose entry to office at 89 Ripley Road.

Voted: To turn over to the Harbor Master the small building at
Government Island for his use as Harbor Master and direct him to
include in his budget money for repairs to same.
Voted: To appoint the Harbor Master, Mr. Clifford Dickson as a member
of the Government Island Committee.
Voted: To include an Article in the Warrant for money in the amount
of t2,250.00 to remove the two family house situated near the
entrance to Government Island and to fill in the cellar hole
as recommended by the Government Island Committee.
Voted: To authorize the Brockton Edison Company to install a brighter
light at the corner of Ripley Road and Smith Place similar to
those in use throughout the rest of the business district, at

for the use of the Town Common on August 3, 1968 for the Annual
Cohasset Youth Days . Also August 1 and 2 for preparation. The

2,000 gallons of gasoline at the Cohasset High School.

Main Street requesting reply as to the extent filling is
being conducted between 502 and 520 North. Main Street.
Voted: To grant permission to the New England Telephone and Telegraph
Company to excavate approximately 25 feet to repair defective
private underground wire at 478 Jerusalem Road and about 150
feet on opposite side of street.

The bid received was from MacQuinn Landscape Service at a
submitted bid price of $765.00.
Voted: To accept the bid of MacQuinn Landscape Service at submitted
bid price of $765.00 on the recommendation of the Tree Warden.
Voted: To grant permission to the Beechwood Congregational Church for
the use of the Billings-Pratt Park on Saturday, June 22, 1968
for its Annual Lawn Party.

Voted: To approve the minutes of December 11, 1968 as submitted, and
interim action.
Bids were opened on the contract for furnishing gasoline
requirements for all town departments for 1969.
One bid was received from Gulf Oil Corporation at a price of
w.1730 plus applicable State Tax of �.0650 per gallon for a
net firm delivered price of $.2380 per gallon.
Voted: To take this bid under advisement.
Voted: To grant permission to John Whitten for his dancing classes
for the use of the Town Hall auditorium on February 5, 1969
for a make up date; also March 19=th as an optional date .
