The group reviewed the Record rating and edited the chart to an actual numeric score after discussing each item. • Site#1 (Existing Site)has 20 Points, and Site#2 (Sohier Street)has 15 Points. Record • For discussion, the group has eliminated consideration of the third site. Record 3.2 6/6/17 Community Survey Monkey Results • 411 Cohasset residents submitted surveys through survey Record monkey. Record • 71% of surveyors felt that it was important to keep town hall in its current location. Record • 73% of surveyors felt that the Historic Town Hall should be restored whether or not the current Town Hall remains in place or is relocated. • THRAC officially voted to proceed with design on the existing site. 3.3 6/6/17 Additional Discussion Points • Traffic is currently heavy at the Sohier St. Site (Library) with schools, music circus, and swim center. Town Hall Record would make it much more congested. • Concerns have been raised about the whether the cost of relocating temporarily will greatly affect the overall consideration of whether to stay or relocate. Other concerns were raised about the impact that temporary relocation will have on the operation of town hall Record functions. THRAC replied noting that a temporary relocation plan has been developed for the+/- 15 month construction process as part of the town's emergency planning efforts. • The town archivist has expressed concern that the square footage of the existing and proposed high density mobile storage as well as the proposed space allocation is Record inadequate. The archivist feels that a larger work station for staff, volunteers, and visitors should be included in the program. • Prefabricated construction was suggested by the public Record citing its fast deployment, quality, and low cost. • Concerns were raised that a 10 million dollar cost would not be palatable for the general public, much like it was at Record the time of the previous studies. • Concerns were raised about the usage of open space behind the historic Town Hall for an addition. TOC will check whether there is an easement in place connecting the parking lot with the neighboring church. Will the Senior School staff be moving into the Town Hall building? What space requirements will they have? 2. Will the DPW, Sewer, etc. be moved to the Water Department building? 3. What are the space needs of the vault archive,both for high density storage as well as archivist workspace? 3.5 6/6/17 Tasks for Next Meeting • Review data sheets and collect comments on the provided program information TOC • MKA to consider program square footages of Auditorium and theater spaces in calculations.
