Alves, G. Froio, T. Goff, J. DeLorenzo, K. Mulchay Members Absent: E. Frazier Others Present: Ted Carroll Motion to Accept Meeting Minutes of 3-14-18 as written: Motion: A. Alves 2nd: T. Goff Vote: 5-0 100 Sohier Street/Milliken Field CPC Article Discussion: Clark Brewer plan discussed for Millken; the board wants the town to move forward this summer. Brian Joyce is looking into costs for his plan. A Sohier Street parking lot line schematic was done by engineering; some tweaking is needed. Tennis court reconstruction is needed as soon as possible after the January deep freeze caused some serious cracks. Tennis court companies were behind schedule and cannot resurface until warmer weather. Summer Program: We are still working on staffing. A record 512 children registered and we are still looking for some staff including a nurse. We did hire a new coordinator which will be an adult at the Swim Center, Deb Robbins. Summer Staff Reward System: Motion to approve a summer staff reward system as presented. Motion: J. DeLorenzo 2nd K. Mulcahy Vote: 5-0 Summer Basketball: Close to 250 children registered for the summer basketball program up from 210 in 2017, 100 in 2016. Schedule and referee plans are in the works. We would like to use Beechwood as little as possible. Thanks to Kim for 5 years on the board, it was her last meeting. Jeff Hartwell is on the ballot for the May election. The BOS will advertise the Molly Frame seat. A joint appointment will be made in June to fill in for one year and then a two year term to finish her term will be on the ballot next year.
