Alves, E. Frazier, V. Froio, D. Martin, K. Mulcahy Members Absent: D. Ellinger, Molly Frame Others Present: T. Carroll, Director, C. Senior, P. Schubert, L. Uglialoro, J. St. Ives, K. Daley, Mike Hession, Bryan Dunkelberger New School Resource Officer Jay St. Ives was introduced to the board. He will work with the department with more R.A.D. programs and increased summer assistance. 100 Sohier Street/Milliken Field CPC Article Discussion: Mike Hession and Bryan Dunkelberger represented the Basketball Boosters about the 100 Sohier Street CPC project. Bryan had done a plan that incorporated a corridor from Forest Avenue through Wheelwright, the baseball complex, swim center, new senior center and the library/recreation property. Discussion included a Hanke memorial, the Sohier Street paving project for 2017, the library master plan and old Osgood School leaching field. Motion to form a sub-committee for the 100 Sohier Street project: Motion: E. Frazier 2°d D. Martin Vote: 5-0 Lisa Uglialoro presented the following Milliken Field bid schedule as set by Susan Bruce, Procurement Officer: Bid Documents Available: Wednesday, December 14, 2016 Mandatory Site Visit: Wednesday, January 4, 2017 @ 11:00 am Questions Due: Friday, January 6, 2017 by 11:00 am Questions Answered: Tuesday, January 10, 2017 by 4:00 pm Proposals Due: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00 am Decision Announced: Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Discussion included getting quotes for modular and full construction. The Commission will review the present capital budget project for the Milliken Field Tennis courts. 2016 Thanks for Giving Race Update: (Thank you report reviewed) Race went well, a slight drop off from last year but the forecasted weather might have played a role in that. Next year we have to plan on the race without Cunningham Bridge. We are still waiting on a few sponsor checks to come in to do a final budget. 2017 Summer Discussion: Based on a review of the 2016 numbers and the planned 1/1/2017 pay hike, the departments does not foresee any changes to the registration for the 2017 summer program. We do plan to hire a nurse but some one-time charges will be off the books to clear budget money for the hire. Ted will get to the board the official 2016 budget and 2017 anticipated budget by the end of the week. Motion to Adjourn: E. Frazier 2nd D.
