Community Preservation Proposals:
Board Members have gone to CPC to propose requests for funding for projects for 100 Sohier
Street interior and exterior. Additionally a CPC plan for the construction of a new concession
and bathroom facility at Milliken would be included. Meetings have taken place with Library
Trustees and Susan Hoadley, a local architect. The board proposes to requests funding for
planning of the 100 Sohier Street project and construction costs for Milliken this spring. Thom
Powers will get construction costs for the January meeting. Possible ways to save money on the
Milliken Field project due to prevailing wage and procurement would be to use volunteers and or
ask for a South Shore Votech crew. A prefabricated building is another possibility.
Thanks for Giving Race
