Chairman Astino called the meeting to order at 6:48 p.m. Roll Call: Paul Kearney-Present, Barbara
Stefan-Present,Jeanne Astino-Present, Ellen Maher-Present,Jennifer Madden-Present.
Public Hearing on School Choice-Superintendent Demas gave an overview of what school choice is. It
allows the district to decide if they would like to accept students from other districts and allow Cohasset
students to go to another district. The Chapter 70 money goes with the student. The district typically
has not opted for school choice in the past. The Committee had a brief discussion. Motion by Mrs.
Maher to not become a school choice district,seconded by Mrs. Stefan. Roll Call Vote; Barbara
Stefan-Aye,Jeanne Astino-Aye, Paul Kearney-Aye, Barbara Stefan-Aye, Ellen Maher-Aye,Jennifer
Madden-Aye.
Chairman Astino closed the public hearing.
