Next Meeting: Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 1:OOpm Minutes for approval: Minutes from 7/25 approved unanimously. Harbormaster Pump-out Boat Access: Harbormaster Gibbons presented problem with current sewer access used to drain state-mandated pump out boat, can only be accessed at high tide, manhole is sometimes blocked by cars parking on it. Coughlin suggests digging out manhole, run pipe under sidewalk, over to the side wall of the pavilion (Lawrence Wharf), have the access coming straight up from the ground. Gibbons says she will call Ross Rosano and get a quote to do the work that she can take to Capital. McGowan asks Coughlin to make up a sketch of work to give to Gibbons. Watertight Manhole Project Update: Scott plans to have the manholes inspected (by a NASSCO certified inspector) and prioritize which are most in need of repair, correcting as necessary (thinking that that would be the most cost-effective process). Coughlin has a few questions about gaskets. Cooley explains that the old gaskets will be removed and the rims will be wire-brushed to remove residue, new gaskets will be placed. Coughlin suggests having rolls of both variety of gasket (round and flat) on hand. Discussion of lifting eyes on manholes, whether covers should be replaced during inspection or after the fact. Discussion of vactor truck: Cooley states that verbiage was included so that if a vactor truck is needed, the town will pay for it. ", '4 1 pr? Coughlin will send plans for the project to Cooley. Conservation Commission has approved work in marsh areas so long as planks or mats are put down to cover vegetation. Jeff Summers, the conservation agent, needs to be contacted when the work is to be done. Police details will be scheduled by Goodwin where needed. Discussion of WWTP Maintenance: Scott reports that there has been a small leak identified coming into the sleeve around the influent pump line. All evidence suggests that the leak is ground water. Replacing the entire sleeve would be prohibitively expensive. Scott also handed out MORs for the past two months, updated health and safety audit lists showing progress made, &ARV inspections. He brought up the fact that Suez states that the service contract for the InSight reports expired in June of 2018. Requests that Goodwin look into it and determine why Suez is claiming that. McGowan asks if there is a way to see the same data that an InSight report provides. Scott says yes, mirror imaging of the controls would show a lot of the same information. Membrane Replacement References: McGowan feels that replacing one train of membranes would be the most advantageous. Discussion of adding a tank outside the main building for cleaning. Goodwin will talk with Michelle Leary about the procurement process. Discussion about new control system. Scott asks about the Arc Flash Proposal, board will review and determine at next meeting. McGowan motions to adjourn at 3:24, Sawchuk seconds, unanimous.
