Next Meeting set for July 251h at 1:00pm. Membrane Replacement Update Coughlin: Handouts distributed, discussion of vendor offers Beck: Could we use the existing blowers? Coughlin: Possibly. McGowan: Timeline: Vendor ranking >>Ongoing, finished soon Produce Bid Specification >> ASAP,July 26th? R. F. P. (Require install drawings within 10 days) >> August 1st R. F. P for installation>> October 7th Purchase Order >> on or before November 15th Coughlin: Plant modifications need to be filed with DEP McGowan: Contact vendor references Leary: Membrane fund balance: FY20 $1mil, FY21 $1.2mi1, FY22 $1.4mil Sawchuk: Possibly go to advisory if a small amount is still needed to cover cost. Update of WWTP Operations Papa: Anoxic tank cleaning and recovery cleaning have been done. Flows are up, production is up, transmembrane pressure is down. It's just a question of how long it will last. Sawchuk: Why was there ragging in the anoxic tank? Papa: When the lakeside overflows, the anoxic tank receives that flow. We've been doing brush clearing and painting. Next week ARV will be inspected. Need to either repair or replace the pump at the deer hill pump station, preference of the Board? .1G14 t P o COHASSET SEWER COMMISSION Wednesday, July 10'h, 2019 at 1:00 pm Town Hall, 41 Highland Ave. Cohasset, MA 02025 unanimously agrees that a rebuild of the pump is the better choice. Watertight Sewer Manhole Cover Replacement Project Discussion of watertight manhole project. McGowan motions that Woodard & Curran handle and coordinate the replacement of manholes in the collection system that are potential sources of I&I, Beck seconds, unanimous. Discussion of pump in basement of Cohasset Harbor Resort Coughlin: That pump used to be regularly inspected years ago Papa: Will inspect, dye testing Discussion of Properties Mandated to Connect to Sewer Sawchuk: Does it say in the regulations that properties are mandated to connect to sewer? Coughlin: Not sure where but it does. Discussion of Sharing Cost of a Rate Study with Water Department See attached letters from Tighe & Bond and Woodard & Curran. Board declines to initiate a rate study with Water Department. McGowan motions to enter into executive session with meeting to adjourn in executive session, Sawchuk seconds, unanimous. Executive Session: Executive Session Exemption #3-To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares. o The Committee will discuss current Administrative Assistant duties, staff issues, and possible resolution.
