Introductions:
All participants offered a brief introduction
New Business:
Christopher Senior gave a brief overview of the Town of Cohasset's Sewer Plant and infrastructure's cur-
rent state.
Discussions regarding each town's capacity and limitations ensued.
Brian Joyce,Town of Cohasset's Director of Public Works asked Town of Hull's Director of Sewer Opera-
tions,John Struzziery what their plant flow and capacity limitations were. Struzziery stated they are per-
mitted for 3MGD and are currently treating on average 1.5MGD-1.7MGD. Struzziery went on to say that
due to Title 5 estimates, the system was overbuilt for the community. The Town of Hull does not antici-
pate any major capacity being used by development within the town. The only parcel of land that could
potentially be built on is the HRA land. However, with only 13 acres of land there is no great concern for
capacity. Struzziery said before committing to any exact figures he would need to initiate a build-out
plan and study the possible capacity challenges if the communities decide to regionalize.
Dan Coughlin asks Struzziery at the present time, what capacity he was comfortable marketing/selling to
other communities. Struzziery said approximately 500-1M GPD. Coughlin went on to state the Cohasset
plant is processing 305 GPD.
Concerns presented by Bob Higgins for Hingham are 1/1 and the significant amount of projects ongoing
within the town. He believes is Hingham was to extend a sewer district to the World's End area there
would be even more development, using up to 1MGD of capacity.
Bill McGowan stated a large area of concern for Cohasset is the Gulf River.

Kevin Cafferty agreed the Gulf River is problematic for Scituate as well. He stated the Town of Scituate's
master plan has the Sewer Districts divided into seven districts. There are two large developments
forthcoming in Scituate. 1/1 at the Cedar Point district is problematic. He would like additional capacity
to enhance Scituate's offerings.
Christopher Senior Wraps up the meeting looking for next steps and actionable items.
Each Town is to look at the technical and financial implications.
Areas of focus:
• N. Scituate
• S. Cohasset
• Hingham
McGowan would encourage a high-level cost estimate to sewer these potential areas. He would also like
to see potential flow rates. Coughlin believes the 3A corridor would require approximately 1.5MGD if
facilities were shared with N. Scituate.
Attendees agree to submit a list of questions to Michelle Leary for review.
Philip Lemnios would like to see proof of concept.
Wayne Sawchuk would like to look at regional grants available.
