1. Administration
a. Next Meeting: Scheduled forTuesday,September13 @ 5p.m. in the Basement Meeting Room-
Town Hall.
b. Approve Meeting Minutes: noactiontaken
2. New Business
a. 42 & 50 Atlantic Avenue:Sean Doherty would like to apply for sewer stub connection for vacant,
buildable lot adjacent to his property better known as 42 AtlanticAve.Sawchuk concerns were
satisfied knowing 2" pipe would be sufficient to connect two homes. McGowan and Sawchuk
agree to allow Mr. Doherty to connect new stub to existing I i ne. Doherty agrees to pay any bet-
terments associated with the connection.Sawchuk makes a motion to approve 2.5 Edu'sfor 50
Atlantic Avenue and 1.5 EDU's for42 Atlantic Avenue. McGowan recommends Doherty submit
new application along with connection permit fees aswelI as as-builtforthe property.
McGowan seconds Sawchuk's motion to approve permit. McGowan advises Michel leto send
letterto Doherty regarding payment.
b. Suez Update:Scott Papa presentingJuly's Suez report. Noted they are in compliance with all
testing parameters. There have been some minor repairs,new light in wetwell,transformer
repairto hoist in main building. Fair amount of pump cal Is,but no major concerns.Action items
to betaken:Discussion whetheror not the Influent Grinder Pump should be rebuilt or replaced.
Pump has been down for approximately three weeks with no effect on the plant operation.
McGowan asked Scott to obtain quotes to estimate the cost of the project. Scott to provide
quotes at next meeting. Influent Sluice gate has failed and needs to be replaced. McGowan
asked Scotto obtain quotes.Palmer Feed Pump needs to be replaced. Estimate is approxi-
mately$1k. Motion by McGowan to replace pump,seconded bySawchuk, Unanimous vote.

McGowan interested in seI ling grey water and the process to do this?Cough lin advises that we
are in a position to do this,however we need to wait for regulations to catch-up.
c. 10 Windy Hill:Sawchuk advises Michelle to send Ietterto attorney confirming approval of 131-
09-051 and lots 09-31 and 09-32 (jointly)to connect to sewer.Sawchuk makes am otion to reaf-
firm previous motion dated July 23,2014, seconded by McGowan. Unanimous vote.
d. Town of Hull:Sawchuk questioned the minimum flow needed to satisfy the contract with the
Town of Hull. McGowan requested status update on the Town of Hull's litigation status. Chris
Senior wiII set-up meeting with Town of Hull to discuss and provide update.
e. Richard Henderson-Matt Shannon:Dating backto 2013, 7 EDU's were paid forin full. In 2013
three EDU's were being utilized at 589 Jerusalem Road,others on Howe Road. Attorney Hen-
derson asking that one EDU be transferred/assigned to 10 Windy Hill,for connection purposes
of lot 34 known as plot 56. McGowan approves and makes a motion to transfer one EDU to lot
34, with the caveat that no other transfers of EDU's of this kind be granted.Sawchuk seconds,
unanimousvote.
f. 55 Gammons Road-Bill Earon:Mr. Earon before the Board presenting landscaping plans on ne
easement. Mr.Earon agrees to give the Town of Cohasset the right to go onto property to re-
pair/replace or maintain any sewer orwaterlines. Mr.Earon further agrees that any damage to
his property due to these repairs will beat no cost to the town.Attorney Henderson agreed to
draft new easement language(following originally granted easement)and send itto the Sewer
Commission. McGowan makes a motion to conditionally approve sewerconnection based on
Attorney Henderson sending over easement language. Motion seconded by Sawchuk,Unani-
mous vote.
g. Sewer Fees:McGowan would I ke to outl ine a process to charge sewer users who may have
been overlooked. McGowan would Iiketo charge sewer usage fee of$35 for period not billed.
Coughlin recommends getting bedroom counts,using 55 gal Ions per bedroom as an average and
prorate that amount. Coughlin recommends billing back three years. McGowan asked Michelle
to analyze some of these charges and present them to the Board.
h. Root Treatment Plan update:Coughlin solicited pricing,award was granted to Rosano Davis.
i. Grinder Pump Responsibility:.Residents will be responsible for purchasing thei rown grinder
pumps(outside the retrofit project). Michel lewilIcontact F.R.Mahoneyto negotiate preferred
pricing for residents.Coughlin recommends Rules and Regulations be updated and maintenance
requirements be posted.
