Present: Library Director Meaghan James, Library Chair Carolyn Coffey, Stephen Brown, Lynne
DeGiacomo, Marylou Lawrence, Sarah Pease, Meghan Brinzey
Minutes of September 11 were moved,voted, and approved.
Director's Report(James)
• FY20 Financial Report has been submitted to the MBLC; Cohasset is in 100%compliance
with all regulations of the Board.
• The Community Services Team will host a Volunteer Fair at Willcutt Commons on
October 22,from 4:30-7:30. Brigid and Meaghan, as well as representatives from the
Friends, plan to attend the event to talk about volunteer opportunities at the library.
• After listening to Meaghan's presentation on the value of offering a few carefully
selected video games for the library,trustees unanimously supported her proposal.
Meaghan noted that the inclusion of video games along with other team programs
brings teens together in a common interest and supports the library's goal to serve as a
community hub for all ages.
• Meaghan reported that the first "After Hours"event on Friday,October 4, was a
resounding success.
• Holes in the library's roof are being patched and our attic friends will now have one-
way doors in their homes under the eaves—an incentive to find a new residence when
they return from winter migration.
• Meaghan is tracking technology progress, which at best is spotty and disappointing.

• Approved unanimously
Chair's Report(Coffey)
The Building Committee is reviewing a more reasonably priced line of new furnishings to further
the goals of the strategic plan. Plans should be completed in the next week or two. At that time,
they will present findings to trustees for approval.
