September 11, 2018
6:36PM Call to order.
Members Present: Katie Holden, Dustyn Mascia, Peter Pescatore, Richard Karoff, Tom Callahan, Charles
Peterson, Deirdre Riley, Jeff Hartwell,
Administrative Support,Jennifer McCarthy
The committee welcomed 2 newly appointed members attending their first meeting,Jeff Hartwell and
Dustyn Mascia.
A motion to approve the meeting minutes from 8/28/18 was made by Tom, 2nd by Katie and voted 3-0-5.
5 members were not present at the last meeting and therefore abstained.
Deirdre Riley agreed to be web/social media administrator for the OSRC to take the lead for content on
the committee website and community communication. Jeff Hartwell also offered assistance if needed.
Tom brought up a rumor that town owned land adjacent and behind the Music Circus property was being
discussed for private development. The chair asked all members to ask around to determine if there is
such activity and agreed to talk with the Town Manager about it.
Jenna agreed to update the OSRP Summer Recreation Program information for 2018 and talk to Ted
about replacing the out-of-date ADA pictures in Section 7.5, specifically Image 7.7.
Tom thought that he had a more current median income number and will try to identify the number and
correct source. I will also check with the Master Plan group for a better number.
I will talk with Beal about providing a better image for Image 4.5, Section 4.4.6 Rare Plant Species.
Tom identified that Beal had replaced our 2018 Section 9.0 Action Items with the annotated Section 9.0
from the 2009 Plan. I will follow up with Beal.
Katie will update Section 5.2 CCT information as a result of recent additions and input that to Jenna
directly and also check with Jack Buckley or the Harbor Committee to see if Section 7.1.2 Potential
Designated Shellfish Growing Areas is still accurate.
The committee chose Tuesday September 25th as our next meeting date.
A motion to adjourn was made by Richard and 2nd by Katie; Approved 6-0.
