Recreation Commission Offices
Minutes
6;32 PM - Call to order.
Members Present: Peter Pescatore, Katie Holden, Lisey Good, Dick Karoff
Review of 7/26 Community Meeting: There were 3 attendees at the meeting.
The committee members present went through the AV program and conducted Q&A with the
attendees. Major concerns from the participants were: Development of more sidewalks and
preservation of trees throughout Cohasset. There was discussion started by the committee
regarding development of a park or other recreation venue in the general area of West Corner.
Water Commission meeting: Peter met with Leanora Jenkins, Chair of the Water Commission, on
Tuesday 8/1 and provided a copy of the 2010 OSRP and an outline list of sections that involve the
Water Commissions input. Leanora agreed to work on the sections identified and submit the
resulting text for the boards approval at their next meeting on 8/15/17.
Members: Peter agreed to contact Chis Senior to find out if there have been new members
proposed for the committee from Concon and Rec Committees. If there has been no movement
Peter will propose the 2 interested candidates identified by Lisey at the meeting for appointment.
Peter reported that he has mailed the additional manual surveys filled out to Beal &Thomas and
discussed having a revised survey summary provided as soon as possible.
The committee agreed that Lisey would create a list of 2010 OSRP sections for the Planning Board
and Peter would develop the list for Sewer and Town Infrastructure. Peter will also contact Glen
Pratt, former Water Chair, to ask for a comprehensive list of land acquisitions from 2010 to 2017.
A motion to approve minutes from 7/10/17 was made by Lisey, 2nd by Katie, approved 4-0.
Next meeting was set for the Thursday August 24, 2017 at the Recreation Commission Offices at
6:30 PM.
6:57 PM Dick moved to adjourn the meeting, Katie 2nd, approved 4-0.
