This would include a series of Open Forums and Workshops. Clark Brewer feels there will be enormous pressure on the town to grow from both 40B Housing and a new sewer plan. Katie Dugan suggested we don't overwhelm the residents with too much information early but rather make people aware of our growth potential without causing alarm. MAPC and the Master Plan Committee will host a Public Kick-Off Event on February 2018 to familiarize the residents with the Vision Statement and to address areas of concern at individual stations. It was also suggested to have visuals and charts designed for residents to indicate their preferences. COMMUNICATION AND OUTREACH PLAN Eric Seuss presented a rough template but not many specifics at this point. He would like to set up a Facebook account featuring progress updates and a daily question based on history, trivia or other facts about Cohasset. Lynn Schwandt suggested we have the page up and running the first week of February to generate interest and excitement for the Kick-Off Event on February 28. OTHER BUSINESS The town has hired a planner who will be actively involved in the Master Plan. With no further business to discuss, motion to adjourn was made, seconded and passed by a 6-0 vote. Meeting adjourned at 9:15 pm.
