Agent Summers received a complaint of an unpermitted dock on the above property with no documentation in
the building file for any dock construction.Owner Michael Hurley said that the dock is actually an 8'x 25'float
that washed up on his property. He alleged the dock is owned by the town and was intended for use at the town
wharf but washed up on his lot many years ago. Mr. Hurley had agreed to repair and maintain the dock and
allow the Harbormaster to use it when needed. Member Kennedy said it should be the town's responsibility to
not only maintain this and other similar floats but see that they are not randomly floating around the harbor and
encroaching en private property. Chair Pimpare would like this particular float be hauled back to its original
location and fall under the town's purview. The Commission agreed to allow the Hurley's to work with the
Harbormaster in order to determine next steps with the dock and the Conservation Agent will follow up as well_
