HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - HC - 08/16/2018 G6 U — � Ss c� V coHassFT� Cohasset Harbor Committee Meeting Cohasset Sailing Club 19 Lighthouse Lane Cohasset, MA August 16, 2018 6:30pm Members Present: Tim Davis, Chairman Lorri Gibbons Rolf Gjesteby Susan Bryant George McGoldrick Abigail Alves Matt Marr Tom Norton Lisa Hewitt Dick Sean Kenealy not present Chairman Tim Davis called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Approval of Minutes —Tim Davis postponed till next meeting. Presentation by Harriman on Harbor Study - Emily Keys Innes-Senior Urban Planner of Harriman was present along with Steve Cecil. Ms. Innes reported that they are in the data collection phrase and have met with various people on what they saw as opportunities and strengths of the harbor. Their group is looking into the Chapter 91 licenses and going to the state archives to see what licenses that the state has and types of infrastructure there is. They are working with CZM, who was present with Harriman when they met with the commercial fishermen to see what they contribute as to the economic factors. GEI Consultants are also on board and looking at the position of the infrastructure side. Ms. Innes has met with the Harbormaster and others on the history of the harbor and looking to meet with Recreation. Mr. Davis asked about the Notice to Proceed and Ms. Innes said almost there. 1 Presentation by Harbinger on Atlantica/Cohasset Harbor Inn progress - Eamon O'Marah of Harbinger Development Group was present along with Susan Hoadley of Hoadley Martinez Architects. Mr. O'Marah stated they have a Purchase and Sale Agreement to purchase the Atlantica and Cohasset Harbor Inn. He gave a preliminary overview of his company's proposal to redevelop the Harbor with a public/private partnership with the town. Their plan to include residential would requires zoning changes. Mr. O'Marah stated that after special town meeting vote they can start the permitting process. Ms. Hoadley gave an overview of the walkway along the Harbor and a view to connect with from the Village. The plan would bring in business and residential use to the harbor area. Motion by George McGoldrick to adjourn, seconded by Matt Marr and vote was unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 7:59 p.m. 2
