COHASSET CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

Documents resented at hearing: Notice of Intent and Stormwater Permit applications
The application is for tree removal within the 100' buffer zone. The owners want to expand their lawn,
demo the existing detached garage and build an attached garage. Erosion controls will be taken and a
stone trench will be installed to ease run-off.
MOTION: By Member Kennedy to close the public hearing on NOI 16-18 and issue an Order
of Conditions for proposed work at 138 Atlantic Avenue.
SECOND: Member Edward Graham
VOTE: 6-0 (Member Creighton not present for hearing)
MOTION: By Member Kennedy to close the public hearing and issue Stormwater Permit 16-
21 for proposed work at 138 Atlantic Avenue.

7:30 PM -47 Lothro Lane—Naimi vs.Jordan - Discussion continued from Jul 21

Documents presented at hearing: Letter from Donald Hanson dated 7/15/16• Site photos
In 2015 the Naimi's appeared before the Commission to request the Jordan's remove cement from a wall
on their property. The Commission voted 5-0 on 8/6/15 to issue an Enforcement Order and have the
Jordan's remove the wall and return the area to its original condition. The cement was removed but the
wall is still standing. Vice Chair Pimpare suggested to leave enough of the wall to prevent erosion.

MOTION: By Vice Chair Pimpare to close the hearing on the Enforcement Order for 47
Lothrop Lane and to request removal of all remaining mortar, redistribute a portion
of the wall to its natural state and retain any rocks that maintain stability of the
lawn by November 1, 2016.

8:00 PM -604 Jerusalem Road--Brewer—After-the-Fact Discussion
In attendance to represent the agenda item: Ken Brewerlowner, Andrew S altlTotal Tree Care
Unpermitted tree removal was performed within the buffer zone. Ken Brewer(KB) said he was advised to
remove trees growing on ledge and was told by Paul Shea to remove the trees and file for an After-the-
Fact Notice of Intent but work was done without any permitting. A Cease and Desist Order was issued.
KB was ordered to file for the NOI, disclose all work that was done and present a replacement plan for
trees removed in resource areas.

Documents presented at hearing: Notice of Intent and Stormwater Permit applications
The applicant did unpermitted tree and brush removal within the 100' buffer zone of a Bordering
Vegetated Wetland. He was asked to remove all brush pushed into the wetlands, do 2-to-1 replication for
a portion of work within an Isolated Vegetated Wetland (IVW). Jeff Summers wants to see more
replication towards downside of lawn to provide additional buffer to lawn runoff.
MOTION: By Vice Chair Pimpare to close the public hearing for N01 16-19 and issue an Order
of Conditions with an amendment to originate a plan for installation of 4 trees with
minimum 3" diameter along the IVW at rear of property for work proposed at 91
Doane Street.
SECOND: Member Graham
VOTE: 7-0
MOTION: By Vice Chair Pimpare to issue a variance for work within 25' of an IVW for work
proposed at 91 Doane Street.

VOTE: 7-0
MOTION: By Vice Chair Pimpare to close the public hearing and issue a Stormwater Permit
for work proposed at 91 Doane Street.

VOTE: 7-0
With no further business, motion to adjourn was made and seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:20 pm.
