HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - CC - 03/19/2015 .s a Y Conservation Commission Meeting March 19, 2015 Date: Thursday, March 19,2015 Time: 7:00 p.m. Place: Town Hall Basement Meeting Room 41 Highland Avenue Cohasset, MA Commissioners Present: Patrick Kennedy,Vice-Chairman Alex Koines James Gilman James Marten Patrice Vogelman Commissioners Absent: Jack Creighton, Chairman Edward Graham Justin Pimpare-Associate Commissions Consultant Present: CCC/SW Agent, Paul Shea Vice-Chairman Kennedy called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 80 Lantern Lane--RDA#15-05 Mr. Kennedy read aloud the public hearing notice. This application is related to another open application for Daniels. John Chessia from Chessia Consulting was present on behalf of abutter Kevin Leary. Due to the extremely bad winter the site is not visible at this time. Mr.Chessia would like the Commission to visit the site when the snow is gone to seethe ground conditions and vegetation. They feel there is a BVW there. Paul Shea stated Paul Allen from Ecotec was hired in January and has been unable to see the site due to weather conditions. He suggested continuing the hearing since it has been opened and abutters have been notified. The hearing was continued until April 16t4 @ 7:30 p.m. The Commission will put an agenda item on April 2"d to just discuss if it is feasible to view the site before the April 16th hearing. 544 Jerusalem Road—ATF SWP#15-06 Mr. Kennedy read aloud the public hearing notice. Paul Mirabito from Ross Engineering was present on behalf of the applicant,along with Greg Tansey. This proposed project is for hillside landscaping. They are also proposing a paved asphalt driveway and garage. Paul Shea advised Mr. Mirabito if there are any changes to the plan proposed they would need to come back to the Commission again. Mr. Mirabito stated the runoff along the driveway is being captured in a catch basin and recharged before it is released back into the ground. They are using the drainage system that already exists. There is a swale over the drain. Paul Shea stated this is an improvement on the site. Motion by James Marten to close the public hearing and issue an ATF SWP for the project at 544 Jerusa[em Road,seconded by Alex Koines and the vote was unanimous. Topics not reasonably anticipated within 48 hours of CCC meeting Mr. Kennedy stated that Mr. Creighton advised him that the Commission should schedule site visits for 385 Atlantic Avenue and 31 Nichols Road. Motion by Patrice Vogelman to approve the minutes of 1/8/15, 1/22/15 and 2/5/15,seconded by James Gilman and the vote was unanimous.
