Treasurer's Report:
Line items have been adjusted. We are within budget, although still low on
Van Drivers line. Newsletter cost is skewed due to a quarterly assessment
to return returned newsletters to Elder Affairs that were unable to be
delivered. The master list is then revised to avoid extra charges. Formula
grant will be reversed of accruals.
A summary is available for the distribution of trusts. A committee
comprising of the Assessor, Treasurer, and 3 residents will be formed.
They will prepare a list of qualified seniors then decide how to distribute.
It will have to be approved by town meeting to end collection and approve
disbursement.
Paul will speak with Selectman to get it on their agenda.
Treasurer's report accepted.
Director's Report:
Coral Grande will retire as of 1/18/19. She is so appreciative of all the
support she received from this Board. Coral is in support of Nancy
LaFauce to replace her as Director. Nancy will receive letters of support
from the Board, Social Service, Housing and Friends. There will be an
Employee Appreciation here at 6pm tomorrow where Coral will be
recognized.
Old Goats were hosted here Nov 1. Tours were given also.
Vans are being decaled. A decision of how to address the $10,000 deficit
will be forthcoming.
Thanksgiving luncheon was well-attended. A great coming together of
seniors, board members, volunteers, and staff.
Holiday luncheon will be held at Cohasset Harbor Inn on December 6tn.
The list is limited to the first 120 respondees.
Liaison Reports:
Housing Authority - Taffy - still waiting, completed drawings of new
building, which came in 100k higher than expected. CPC will have an
article in warrant to increase contribution by town. It is not in front of
selectman yet, but all town committees have approved.
Affordable Housing - Paul - Housing steering committee met last
Tuesday. S&S building will count as affordable housing. Affordable
housing is based on census, with the next census to be taken in 2020.
Social Service - Tana - visited Carolina Hill in Marshfield, a shelter for
young families. Delivered turkey dinners to 15 residents of our town.
