Treasurer's Report:
We have spent 47.6% of the fiscal year 2017 budget. (50% is on target.)
Waiting for formula grant reimbursement. Revolving account has a
balance of$2209.
There was an expenditure from the gift account of$757, which is our
25% share of the assisted hearing devices. Lisa U. will look into making it
a town expense.
Paul spoke about the warrant change for the trust funds to become
spendable funds. This money was donated through the tax bill for elder
services. Lisa said money given for a specific purpose should have a
committee set up to distribute money from trust. The committee was
never set up. Will ask town counsel to advise.
Nine years ago, town meeting approved a tax work off. The town manager
has to implement it.
Paul said if the funds for outdoor furnishings exceed $1200 left over from
building fund, we will need to go to town meeting for approval.
There was a discussion of a minivan in addition to an electric car use for
transportation. Need more data for justification of minivan. We have
redesigned the transport program based on the approval of the electric
car for Elder Affairs' use. A van will be used for medical transport when
the electric car is not appropriate for clients. The FISH program is
working well.
Lisa U - There will be a training program offered for all volunteers,
February 8th at the Library. All committee members are encouraged to
attend.
