MINUTES
In attendance: Paul Kierce, Tana Carlson, Elinore Barrett, Kelli Gildea, Bebe
McCarron,James Mensching,Taffy Nothnagle,Elaine Coyne, Diana Karcher,
Also Attending: Coral Grande
Not in Attendance: Sue Reagan, Cindy Swartwood

Paul Kierce, Chairman, opened the meeting at 8:35 am.
Paul thanked Taffy Nothnagle for her contribution to our board and congratulated
her on receiving Citizen of the Year. It is very well deserved.
Minutes of the January meeting were accepted. February's meeting was cancelled due
to snowstorm.
Treasurer's Report:
Formula Grant is in - $15,192. There was an increase of 1 dollar to $10.00 an elder
per year.
Coral said Van drivers line item expenses to date were lower because of weather and
vehicle maintenance will increase.
Liaison Reports:
School Committee - Mary McGoldrick- Public Hearing on budget is March 16 and 23.
South Shore Elder Services - Ed Mulvey- SSES congratulates Taffy.
No more waiting list for new clients.
Sen. Brian Joyce has resigned from the advisory board.
Social Service League - Sandra Halverson - Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) approved
the sale of Willcutt Commons to the Town of Cohasset- closing is on the 24tn.
Drug and Alcohol program is going well. Channel 5 doing a good job covering the
Opioid Crisis. Governor Baker signing law to limit pain medication.
Selectman - Kevin McCarthy- Closing scheduled for March 24th.
Affordable Housing Steering Committee is being formed. Looking for volunteers to
make acquisitions, implement plan and run program.
Harbor dredging project- subcontractor disappeared. Need to resume soon.
Town held a Master Plan planning session at Willcutt. It was a visionary session for a
master plan for the Town. 175 people attended and it was professionally run by a
state agency.
3A traffic issues are ongoing.
Human Resources - Lisa Uglialoro - Lisa introduced herself. She has begun work for
the Town, dealing with payroll and benefits,job descriptions, performance
management, goal setting, and mission statements.
Fire Department- Chief Silvia - Chris Senior is on vacation 17th - 24th, so Chief is the
go to person for final preparations for the closing on the 24th.
Working out how to maintain building, and a policy on how building should be used
and supervised.
Ongoing Business Updates
Paul Kierce - Town Manager has released $33,318.77 for tables and chairs
Tana Carlson - 1 Board vacancy with 6 applications.
Director's Report
Veterans' Forum will be held June 9th
WATD and 143TV will be televising
Secretary of the Army may be here in September
Working to establish policies and procedures as well as rental fees
for rooms at Willcutt Commons. Establishing written procedures to
open and close the building.
Cohasset Cultural Grant, 2016 "Meet Julia Child" program
Lifelong Learning programs planned for late fall, 2016 or early
spring, 2017

2 Bridge groups
2-4 high school kids coming to teach technology- iphone, ipad, facetime.
$500 donation to purchase yoga supplies
