CBC Members Present: Host, Franklin, Redmann
Mr. Redmann opened the meeting at 1900 with the above quorum present.
IT:
Further discussion on EDM and the processes to be mapped. There were 131 processes
identified of which 30 were designated easy to resolve of which (6) were considered
priority at and estimated cost of $33,120. 93 of the 131 were classified as more complex
with an estimated cost of -$2M to effectuate.
CPC funds were being considered to digitize historical records. Back scanning would
likely take place at project end.
Elder Affairs:
There was a discussion of van replacement for Elder Affairs with (2) Ford Transit Vans. EA
tends to transport 6 people or less on any trip. A smaller van is considered a better
alternative for short trips. A small passenger type van is preferred for a number of
reasons including passenger comfort, lower to the ground, better mileage and
improved maneuverability.
Salt Shed:
Discussion continued on the request for $500.000 to fund a new 2000 ton Quonset Style
Salt Shed to replace the current 400 ton shed. DPW stated repairs to the roof on the
existing shed were estimated to be $15K. CBC members asked what a new roof would
cost. A new roof on the existing shed would cost $15,000. CBC members asked DPW to
explore Brine as a solution vs. Salt. Salt usage vs. best practices appeared to be
excessive. CBC asked for clarification, as usage is a determining factor in shed sizing.
