CBC Members Present: Wakeman, Franklin, Host, Redmann and Donohue (by phone)
Chair Wakeman opened the meeting at 1900 with the above quorum present.
Edit Minutes of March 27, 2017 to reflect the proper vote on the Video Camera from 4-0
to 4-1 and to strike XP Machines.
Motion to Approve Minutes of March 20, 2017 approved 4-0
Motion to Approve Updated Minutes of March 27, 2017 approved 4-0

Senior Center Broadcast Equipment ($35,698) - Request to fund next generation
broadcast equipment to be installed at Willcutt Commons for use by the Board of
Selectman, School Committee, Elder Affairs and Other Committees who meet there.
The cost of the equipment is $35,698 of which the town will pay $25,000 and the
balance will be funded by 143TV. Broadcasts will be transmitted live on cable TV and
simultaneously digitized and uploaded for online viewing (as currently down on You
Tube).
Motion to Approve $25,000 for next generation equipment that will provide live
broadcast to Cable Stations Fios and Comcast as well as streaming to
Facebook, You Tube and other tools. The funding will be made from the Capital
Stabilization Fund. Approved 5-0 (John Donohue voting by phone).
Boat Ramp ($50,000) - Fund a study to develop plans and specifications for a boat new
boat ramp to replace the current ramp at Parker Avenue that is in poor condition.
Anticipated cost of a replacement boat ramp is estimated to but $350,000 to $500,000.
Motion to Approve $50,000 to fund a study to develop a scope of requirements,
engineering and conceptual design for a new boat ramp at Parker Avenue. The
Capital Budget Committee (CBC) requests that the study address both single
wide and double wide ramps and CBC requests that the Harbor Advisory
Committee (HAC) be fully involved in the development of the scope of
requirements, the engineering and conceptual design of the new ramp.
