COHASSET BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES

Board Members Present:Margaret S. Chapman (MC); Robin Lawrence (RL)
Staff Present: Jennifer Sullivan, Interim Health Administrator(JS);Angela Geso(AG), Inspections Clerk
Public/Guests Present: Jeff Youngquist(JY); Charles Humphries(CH); Jeff Delisle(JD); Paul Mirabito (PM);
Matt Murmes(MM)
Meeting called to order at 7:10 pm.
Next meeting will be Tuesday,April 14. The report from Mary Goodwin, Public Health Nurse documented patient
visits, meetings and conferences attended in February and mention of the upcoming Health&Recreation Fair on
March 22. Chair Chapman gave an update on the Atlantica sprinkler head damage. Forms will be provided to all
board members for emergency inspections. Minutes for 9/8/14, 10/2/14 and 12/9/14 were approved with changes.
Re: Health Agent Position—JS reported there are 3 interested applicants and that Town Manager Chris Senior would
like to have Board Members present on March 17 for the interviews. MC wants the focus for hiring to be on talents
and qualifications, knowledge of Title 5, experience in a community setting and credentials with a minimum of BA and
3-5 years'experience, MA preferred.
7:15 PM—DSCP HEARING (continued): New Construction—130 Forest Avenue: Lots 1 &2
Represented by Roger Pompeo, Outback Engineering and Charles Humphries
JY redid soil and perc samples; groundwater reduction will be done after thaw.Abutter Dan Rivera put his well near
the access easement and appealed the Form A decision by the Planning Board to subdivide the property. Court
decision said the right-of-way is alright and the well does not interfere. DR is again appealing. JY stated common
driveways will be installed when construction starts.
MOTION: By Robin Lawrence to approved Lot 2, 130 Forest Avenue for new construction of septic
field with the condition that additional per tests be done in active leaching area at time of
installation to meet Title 5 requirements.

7:40 PM: Discussion—Hingham Public Water Supply Update
7:50 PM—838 CJC Highway—Car Wash Represented by Jeff Delisle, Paul Mirabito and Matt Murmes
The system is installed with temporary tight tanks until the leaching area is done.The system is alarmed to indicate
when pumping is needed.JS wants a proper inspection be done and that the tight tanks be replaced by June 30.
MOTION: By Chair Chapman to approve the temporary tight tanks at 838 CJC Highway with a deadline
of 6/30/15 to have permanent system installed.
SECOND: By Member Lawqrence
APPROVED: Unanimous
With no further business to discuss, meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
